Abstract

An article portrays an experience from reading an essay “A Myth about Rozanov” by G. Gazdanov in the aspect of detection of the differences and variations of these both representatives of literature existentialism. Dissonances in Gazdanov’s interpretations of consciousness and fate of Rozanov can be explained as a result of reflection of rejection of dying, objectified in an critical discourse of Gazdanov with the motives of judgement/excuse of kaleidoscopically crushing “I” of Rozanov. An objective convergence of artistic and philosophical conceptions of both writers is connected with their common intentions of affirmation of out-rational truth about the world and a man.
