In the article we analyze the intertextual part of L. Lunts’ script “The Things’ Insurrection” and find the specificity of Lunts’ personalization of the cultural dehumanization in comparison with symbolists, futurists, the authors of 1920th who were close to Serapion brothers group (E. Zamyatyn). The problem of dehumanization in Lunts’ script is also compared with some cinema contexts (F. Lang, Dziga Viertov). Furthermore, we trace the logic of Lunts’ reinterpretation of the motives of “machine order” and “ urbanistic apocalypse”. We reveal the specificity of the rethinking of the plot about “things’ insurrection’ as well as the problem of “the new man” which is made of current interest in the Soviet ideological space of 1920th.
