Types of language game in modern anecdotes

Abstract

The article discusses the concept of “language game”, marks the existing approaches to the classification of the language game, its main functions; determines the genre specificity of the anecdote, its features and functions; describes modes of creating the language game in modern Russian anecdote at different linguistic levels (phonetic, graphic, word-formative, lexical and syntactic), analyzes the game with precedent phenomena; exposes peculiarities of using the language game in modern anecdotes.
