National identity of the individual and modern transformations in the historical field of secondary school knowledge

The article deals with regulatory, scientific and practical issues related to the analysis of the processes of transformation of the historical educational field of school (curricula, textbooks), which are aimed at developing the national identity of the individual through new educational lines and rethinking the historical past and the activities of Ukrainian society in building the statehood.

We have come to the conclusion that the relevance of the problem of transforming historical education through content, updating metodological tools, rethinking and decolonising information about historical processes is not yet complete, it requires further research, analysis and adjustment of understandings.

Overcoming the total educational crisis, which has not bypassed any country, can be seen in the globalization of modern educational systems, openness to innovation and the implementation of the experience of successful states. Despite the fact that Ukrainian challenges depend on existentiality, these challenges are also burdened by war. However, the Ukrainian education system has a margin of safety, which is based on the formation of key competencies. These competencies correlate with most of the United Nations Global Goals for the period up to 2030. The global goals of humanity will also be achieved by future generations of Ukrainians.

Due to the current situation in Ukraine, most higher education institutions were forced to switch to online learning. Therefore, the analysis and improvement of the technologies, the methods and the techniques to increase students' motivation in online learning are relevant, since, as practice shows, there are still a number of unresolved problems concerning students' motivation.

Multidisciplionary approach to studying the Austrian-German folk dance "länder" in the formation of professionally oriented foreign language educational space

The author develops the process of forming professionally oriented foreign language educational space in the university conditions through the prism of philosophy on the example of the Austrian-German folk dance "Ländler" from the film "The Sound of Music" (1965, USA), in this way focused attention on studying foreign language in higher school.

Using the Ländler dance, the author graphically summarizes the coverage of educational disciplines (eighteen), which are involved in the consideration and studying Austrian-German dance, which has become a classic. As one of the means of interactive learning, the author considers the expediency of learning the Ländler dance with students, which stimulates their previously acquired knowledge of the speciality.

Problem statement. In the context of an epidemic and war, distance learning (DL) is practically the only acceptable form of education. There are challenges in its rationalization, esp. regarding the acquisition of practical skills by medical students.

Purpose of the article. To analyse the quality of DL, particularly in the Dept. of Internal Medicine, and to determine ways to improve it.

Research methods. An 18 question survey with response options and the possibility of adding comments was used.

Learner-centered approach to teaching foreign languages in higher education institutions

The article examines the methods of developing teachers’ knowledge and skills in education quality management, such as training, practical tools, and resources. It also highlights the challenges teachers face in improving their competencies and the prospects for enhancing education quality through their involvement in quality management. The importance of developing teachers’ competencies in the field of education quality management is considered within the context of modern general secondary education. In light of the ongoing pursuit of improving education quality, the development of teachers as professionals capable of effectively managing educational processes and enhancing their quality becomes crucial.
The target audience of this article includes educational staff, school administration, and education researchers interested in improving teachers’ professional competencies and enhancing the quality of the educational process. The problem analysis includes an examination of why many teachers lack sufficient knowledge and skills in quality management. This may be due to changing educational requirements, a lack of appropriate training resources, and insufficient attention to this issue within the teacher qualification improvement system.
The author of the article explores various approaches to developing teachers’ competencies, including training sessions, seminars, online courses, and practical work. They also analyze the importance of implementing a continuous professional development system to support teachers in their ongoing quest for improvement. The article also highlights the obstacles teachers face in improving their quality management skills, including a lack of time, resources, and administrative support.
Additionally, a survey of ten questions aimed at gathering information on various aspects of teachers’ competencies in quality management was analyzed, allowing for an objective assessment of their knowledge and skills. The article points to the prospects of enhancing education quality through active teacher participation in quality management. The author concludes that investing in the development of such competencies can lead to better educational outcomes and ensure sustainable improvement in education quality.

Neural networks at the service of education: challenges of the new era of educational transformation

The article is devoted to the current topic of using neural networks and chatbots in education. It analyzes various functions of neural networks, such as personalization of learning, automation of task checking, creation of adaptive educational materials, as well as the capabilities of chatbots to support and motivate students.
The paper highlights the importance of using artificial intelligence (AI) in education, noting its potential to improve learning quality, accessibility and efficiency. The authors cite the pros and cons of introducing chatbots and neural networks into the educational process, citing the results of a survey and interviews with participants in the educational process (students and teachers).
Methodology included theoretical analysis of the state of development of the problem, such scientometric databases and repositories of scientific texts as: Researchgate, GoogleScholar and Scopus databases were used. Teachers (School of Psychology and School of Foreign Languages) and students (School of Psychology and School of Foreign Languages) of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University participated in the empirical part of the study. Data were collected using a Google form and interviews with participants in the educational process. The practical aspect of the study involved the use of two questionnaires created with Google Forms. One of them was designed for students, while the other one was tailored for teachers from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and other higher education institutions. Both questionnaires comprised 12 and 11 open- and close-ended questions respectively. Also, the teacher respondents were asked 7 open questions, two of which were of a general organizational nature.
