Analysis of changes in the number of rural settlements in Dnipropetrovsk region

Abstract

The article analyzes the state of rural settlements network, particularly those that disappear or are on the verge of extinction. The data on the number of villages since 1982 have been analyzed. The main reasons for removal from the registry of rural settlements of Ukraine, which are characteristic for the Dnipropetrovsk region have been established. The directions of further study of rural settlements network have been identified.
