Abstract

The article analyzes the state of the parish priest's family research of Kharkiv diocese in the XIX -early XX century. It can be concluded that the given historiographical process underwent several significantly different stages. Extensively, assessment and characteristics of the parish priests and their families' daily life depended on interpretations of the clergy's rolt in the society. Contemporary authors try to study such problems on the principles of anthropologically oriented history.
