Multimedia Textbook: Definition and Realization Formats

Abstract

The paper provides the author’s definition of the multimedia textbook as an educational edition where the content of a particular discipline is presented through the realization of the possibility of combined use of various forms of information communication (text, audio, visual, graphic and other). It reviews and compares such formats of multimedia textbook realization as web site (section thereof), Prezi presentation and PDF, followed by a comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of each.
