The role of social status of a person in Modern English dialogic discourse

Abstract

In this paper the importance of social status of the speaker in the modern english dialogic discourse is analyzed. Indication of social status of a person is analyzed and the notion of respect as evaluative aspect of the status is established. Relationship between correlation of the social status of communicants to the degree of facility of the speech acts of threat is established.
