The political legacy of Stefan Stambolov in Bulgarian-Russian relations (1895- 1915)

Abstract

The author deals with identification and determination of the impact of such phenomenon as a political legacy of S. Stambolov on the development of Russian-Bulgarian relations in 1895–1915. The researcher concludes that the various parties of the country had used it in the struggle for power. Representatives of People's Liberal Party of “stambolovists” are used to interpret differently Stambolov’s ideas and practices concerning the development of relations with St. Petersburg
