Abstract

Beginning of the Bulgarian tradition of Ottoman studies stems from the end of XIX century. One of the outstanding features of Ottoman studies in Bulgaria is investigation of the Ottoman history of XV-XIX centuries in the context of the Bulgarian history. Especially intensive development of Ottoman studies in Bulgaria has started since 1989.
