Abstract

The article studies the embroidered Ukrainian shirts and different events dedicated to them which are held in Ukraine, Bulgaria and other countries. Furthermore, in the text are shown several functions of the embroidered shirts, including their power to unite Ukrainians all over the world. In the text are presented also the opinions of some Ukrainian and Bulgarian respondents on the shirts vishivanki and their meaning today
