About the "Cave Parthenon" in Chersonesos

Abstract

The issue of localization of the "Parthenon cave", which was represented by "The Lives of Сherson bishops ", has repeatedly been the subject of analysis of different researchers. In the article there are discussed various versions of the historian research and was made a conclusion that the topography data of Chersonese-Kherson  allow us to associate the monument with  martyrion augmented by an underground crypt in the 3rd quarter in the eastern part of city.
