To Map of the Finds of Ancient coins in the Kharkiv Oblast (from the scientific Archive of B. Zaitsev)

Abstract

Publication introduced into scientific circulation finds of ancient coins which was discovered in the Kharkiv oblast and information about which contained in the scientific archive of Kharkiv historian and numismatist Boris Zaitsev (1927–2014). In article published 12 ancient coins: 9 coins is published first time (6 denarii, 1 copper and 2 bronze coins of III—IV cent. AD); information about three coins have a clarifying character (1 denarius, 1 copper coin of III cent. AD and 1 Bosporus stater). The most interesting finds is the coins of III—IV cent. AD, not typical for the region. Question their authentically should be considered open.
