The energy of activation appears to be comparable with typical protein stabilization energy. Comparison of activation barriers and changes of volumes for vegetative and sporous forms shows, that the activated condition for degradation of proteins is connected with a break of the hydrogen bond net and filling with water of internal cavities of protein.</p&gt;}, number={19}, journal={Biophysical Bulletin}, author={Noga, I.
