It was found that collagen synthesized in the skin under the influence of mechanical stretching, produces less thermostable fibrils than that synthesized without it. This effect appeared to be a result of decreased intensity of two enzymatic reactions of collagen primary structure processing - proline hydroxylation and glycolysation of lysine and hydroxylysine residues.</p>}, number={18}, journal={Biophysical Bulletin}, author={Zhukova, T.
