Active learning methods at the faculty of sociology: the experience of the teacher

Abstract

The modern education system is in crisis. It applies to all types of educational institutions and universities in particular. Create a new «rational» modern university model provides a waiver of outdated methods of teaching and learning. Such a refusal, in particular, the implementation of the learning process of active methods of teaching and learning. The author conducted a pilot project online with the use of mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative) to construct the image of education in the consciousness of modern Ukrainian student. The results showed the same aspects that have long been articulated in Ukrainian society. On this basis, it was again the expediency of introducing innovative methods in the process of university education. In the article the pedagogical principles and system of pedagogy within which can be implemented by active methods of teaching and learning. Also described are real examples of active methods for copyright Sociology courses (for students of different levels of education). Many years of experience implementing and implementing the described methods will insist on their effectiveness and feasibility.
